Storyboarding with DON
Visual effects are fast gaining popularity in our film fraternity. The recent success of KRRISH with Hrithik Roshan achieving impossible feats is an eye-opener for what animation and 3D modeling can do...The latest being DHOOM 2 and DON.
Farhan Akhtars's DON has some outstanding stunts and special effects. Catch King Khan getting into the Mission Impossible mode. Not only that, it has also used the rare concept of 'storyboarding'.
Storyboarding is an essential step in the creative process of filmmaking. The sketches, which resemble a comic book, allow the director to conceptualize his thoughts before it finally shapes up in the film.
The Storyboard is the backbone of every great Hollywood film. Spielberg, Lucas, Stone, Cameron, Scott, all the great directors use storyboards to visualize their stories and experiment with composition elements before planning their cost of production.
The sample storyboard contains all the elements needed to make a great film...camera angles, shots, scenes, background, and well-drawn actors.
Check out the storyboarding images and its resultant transformation in the film. Storyboarding must've definitely contributed to the efficiency and quality of DON.
The film hits the screens on 20th October. UTV is releasing DON internationally.
